| About Me...Di Dann
Originally trained in Hotel and Catering Management, graduating
from the University of Surrey in 1974. She has always worked in North
Norfolk and loves her home county. Her career move into local government
came in 1983 when she became a parish clerk in her home village, North Elmham. Her interest in local government comes from her father who
was a District Councillor for Breckland for many years.
In 1997, after a brief spell working for Dereham Town Council she
became Clerk to Swaffham Town Council. In 2000 she moved to Cromer,
to work at North Lodge as Town Clerk for Cromer Town Council. Cromer
Town Council was very deeply committed to partnership working throughout
its regeneration and in 2002 the Town Council secured European funding, EEDA funding and NNDC funding to undertake a three year community
regeneration programme for the town. In September 2004 the Town Council
also secured its Quality Status accreditation – the first town
in Norfolk to do this. She joined Holt as Town Clerk in September 2005.
Di is a qualified tutor and works for the County Training Partnership
of the Norfolk Association of Parish and Town Councils as a trainer
for the Clerk’s Cilca qualification. She obtained the AQA (the
predecessor of the Cilca) qualification in June 2004.
In her spare time she enjoys looking after her two black labs and
the “gorgeous” Lilli a three year old Alsatian. |
