Our responsibilities :

Street Lighting

The Town Council or the County Council (other than a few exceptions on housing estates) maintains the lighting.  If you know of a light which is not working then contact us giving details of the location and whether there is a number on the lighting column so that we can arrange for it to be mended.

Cemetery

We are responsible for the town cemetery in Cley Road.

Open Spaces

The Town Council is responsible for the King George V Field in Peacock Lane.  We also maintain the Memorial Garden opposite the entrance to the Albert Street Car Park and Little Hills, which is situated off Letheringsett Hill.

Car Park

The Car Park at the top of Letheringsett Hill is operated on an annual permit basis.  Permits are issued to start on 1 September in any year. If you would be interested in obtaining a car parking space please contact the office and we will add your name to the waiting list. 

Common land

We manage the common land (Spout Hills) on the west side of the town.

Working parties meet on the last Saturday in the month to carry out environmental improvement tasks.  If you are interested in taking part please contact the Town Council office for further information.
